The headless body of a man was discovered in a garden in San Juan just after midday yesterday.
The charred remains were found by a gardener around 12.30 pm at Ferrari Street, which is off Vita Street, Sunshine Avenue.
The 63-year-old gardener went to the San Juan Police Station at 1.15 pm and reported the gruesome discovery, following which officers went to the scene.
Resident Jude Patrong, who lives houses away from where the body was found, was shocked to see police and reporters, as he said nothing had been reported.
Patrong, who has been living in the area for the past five years, said he was “uncomfortable”.
Holding his five-year-old son tight, Patrong said he was considering relocating to Valencia, where he had grown up, as San Juan was “no longer safe.”
He said, “Every night is shots up here.”
Yesterday’s discovery, he said, would only hasten this decision.
