500 get to sweat at savannah workout
Tuesday, January 24, 2012
The Digicel Carnival Burn is definitely the place to be for those looking to get in shape in time for Carnival Monday and Tuesday. More than 500 participants turned out for week two, all decked out in red and ready to “wuk.” As they packed the Queen’s Park Savannah, the fit and skilled instructors of the Long Circular Gym led them in intense and stimulating routines that incorporated Zumba, Tae Bo and aerobics. Designed to build stamina, the routines ensured that everyone in the crowd felt the burn and worked up a sweat.
The exciting giveaways continued, with one lucky participant winning a pair of costumes to join Legacy for Carnival. The lucky winner of this week’s giveaway went home with tickets to the Digicel International Soca Monarch Semifinals. Participants were also joined by Digicel endorsee Ravi B. As always, everyone is invited to join the fun at the Savannah, across from TGIF, Mondays at 5 pm.
