The problem has been solved! Hooray, hoorah! President Max Richards has revoked Nizam Mohammed’s appointment to the PSC! Start the fireworks! Lets have another carnival in October!  Congratulations to the all those who attacked Nizam Mohammed with full force!

Responding to the photo in the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian on April 4, which showed a dead turtle washed ashore at Manzanilla, I must convey my sadness and concern over the fate that these endangered animals meet in our waters.

Last Friday at the branch of TTPost, lower Abercromby Street, Port-of-Spain, I witnessed an unfortunate event. At 4.26 pm, the clerk at the counter motioned to the security guard, suggesting that it was time to close the door. He immediately went and proceeded to do same.

It has always been rumoured that there is a glass ceiling in the police service beyond which Indo-Trini officers cannot rise. The expectations of young Indo-Trini officers were always limited to the rank of inspector.

Just before the start of the American War of Independence, Thomas Paine wrote “sowing the seeds to stimulate our nation must be done as early as possible, as, attempting to influence people at age 50 will prove unattainable.” Is it possible that those seeds sown (in our nation) during the...

Some people have called for the head of the Minister of Health Therese Baptiste–Cornelis based on her handling of the suspension of the doctors and nurses involved in the botched C-section at the San Fernando General Hospital that resulted in the death of an expectant mother.

The Baptist Union of Trinidad and Tobago held its fourth Sports and Family Day on March 30, at Skinner Park San Fernando. This was a great day of fun, fellowship and food.

Prime Minister says “We depend on the business sector to create the wealth...” and urges foreign investors to bring “that injection of resources” and that “we (T&T) are open for business.” Investors coming to Trinidad and Tobago will be given tax holidays and incentives, as encouragement to...

The People’s National Movement has to come clean on a lot of issues if the national community is to ever take them seriously again. Party and Opposition Leader Dr Keith Rowley needs to apologise to the nation on behalf of that party, for abuses committed by the PNM under former...

In every recent report that I have read quoting Mr Nizam Mohammed in defence of his statements regarding ethnic balance in the Police Service, he keeps referring to “the job” he has to do or “the work” that has to be done. In his statements before the Joint Select Committee of...
