Fresh off its win in the First Cit­i­zens Cup fi­nal on Fri­day over bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic, De­fence Force will now fo­cus its at­ten­tion on the Dig­i­cel Pro League "Bix Six" com­pe­ti­tion which kicks off to­day. Cur­rent­ly, Joe Pub­lic heads the ta­ble with 41 points from its 20-match reg­u­lar sea­son sched­ule fol­lowed by Cale­do­nia (40 points), Cli­co San Juan Jabloteh (39 points), W Con­nec­tion and Ma Pau, both with 34 and De­fence Force, a fur­ther two points be­hind.

The "Big Six" com­pe­ti­tion car­ries an in­di­vid­ual prize while the points won will al­so be added to the league reg­u­lar sea­son points to de­ter­mine the over­all league cham­pi­on. Be­fore a packed house at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya, the "Teteron Boys" edged Joe Pub­lic 1-0 in the First Cit­i­zens fi­nal be­fore and will be con­fi­dent when they bat­tle two-time de­fend­ing league cham­pi­ons, Jabloteh at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va from 5pm. Jabloteh al­so won the "Big Six" last year.

The "Teteron Boys" were the last team to sneak in­to the "Big Six" com­pe­ti­tion af­ter beat­ing To­ba­go Unit­ed 3-1 on the fi­nal day of the reg­u­lar sea­son while Jabloteh is com­ing off a 5-1 drub­bing at the hands of DC Unit­ed in the Con­ca­caf Cham­pi­ons League on Wednes­day in Wash­ing­ton and is ex­pect­ed to be low on morale.

In the oth­er two match­es on to­day, 2007 "Big Six" win­ner W Con­nec­tion, al­so beat­en in Con­ca­caf Cham­pi­ons League play on Wednes­day, 2-1 away to Mex­i­co's Pumas UN­AM and Cale­do­nia AIA of Mor­vant/Laven­tille face off in the sec­ond match at Cou­va while Ma Pau and league lead­ers, bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic face off at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Ma­coya.
