Clico San Juan Jabloteh rebounded fromits 4-0 pounding at the hands of bmobile Joe Public in the final of the 2009 Toyota Classic, with an 8-0 mauling of Queen'sPark Cricket Club's North Zone team in the 2009 TTFF FA Trophy match at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar, yesterday. The San Juan Kings which won the tournament in 1998 and 2005, was led by a beaver-trick from Hector Sam, which included a first half hat-trick. National Under 17 player Jerrel Britto netted a double in the 25th and 83rd while Atulla Guerra scored in the 42nd and Willis Plaza in the 62nd.
At Guaracara Park Pointe -a-Pierre Jamal Clarence scored a second half hat-trick as United Petrotrin eased past Strugglers 4-1. The "Oilmen" broke the deadlock in the 20th minute compliments of a Luis Andre Lima strike to make it 1-0. At the end of the first half the scoreline remained unchanged, however two minutes into the second period Clarence scored the first of his three goals. He then added his second in the 72nd minute, before closing off seven minutes later. Kemuel Rivers scored a consolation goal for the name and nature "Strugglers" with a 89th minute strike.
