?Har­ry Par­tap, the UNC deputy Chief Whip of the UNC is be­ing ac­cused of be­hav­ing like a hooli­gan by some of his col­leagues af­ter the par­ty's re­cent meet­ing at Rien­zi Com­plex. Per­sons where I live could be ex­cused for think­ing that it was a case of mis­tak­en iden­ti­ty. We could all at­test that this par­tic­u­lar MP nev­er ever rais­es his voice to com­plain or ar­gue a case for bet­ter liv­ing con­di­tions for the most un­der­de­vel­oped con­stituen­cy in the coun­try; the one he has rep­re­sent­ed for over 15 years. Per­haps, he was mis­tak­en for a Par­tap who the tele­vi­sion cam­eras cap­tured be­ing re­strained from at­tack­ing mem­bers of the Ram­Jack fac­tion who tried to at­tend a UNC meet­ing last year. If the al­le­ga­tions are cor­rect, I hope that the MP con­cen­trate his re­cent­ly dis­cov­ered en­er­gies on forc­ing the PNM gov­ern­ment to de­liv­er the ser­vices his con­stituents have been de­prived of for so many years rather than fight­ing with his own po­lit­i­cal fam­i­ly .
