?Tots & Tum­blers Gym­nas­tic Club is achiev­ing an­oth­er "first" for gym­nas­tics in T&T when it host an Amer­i­can club for its 14th An­nu­al In­vi­ta­tion­al Meet. Eight gym­nasts from Penn­syl­va­nia-based, Spir­it Gym­nas­tics will be com­pet­ing against gym­nasts from sev­en lo­cal clubs, in­clud­ing Ari­ma-based, first-time com­peti­tors Lee's Gym­nas­tics, next week Fri­day and Sat­ur­day at Wood­brook Youth Fa­cil­i­ty, Hamil­ton-Hold­er Street. Ap­prox­i­mate­ly 150 lo­cal gym­nasts will be aim­ing to stop their US-based coun­ter­parts from Spir­it Gym­nas­tics from tak­ing back tro­phies and medals out­side the coun­try.

Of­fi­ci­at­ing over the two days of com­pe­ti­tion will be four for­eign judges � one from Cana­da and three from the US.

Ac­tion starts with the high­er-lev­el gym­nasts on the open­ing day, which be­gins with warm-ups at 6 pm–an hour be­fore the of­fi­cial start of com­pe­ti­tion. T&T's gym­nasts will face tough com­pe­ti­tion dur­ing this ses­sion as five of the for­eign-based gym­nasts com­pete in Lev­els sev­en and eight. Lev­el sev­en will be es­pe­cial­ly close­ly-con­test­ed, as the youngest gym­nast in the lev­el will be Tots and Tum­blers' ten-year-old Lau­ren Boocock, who will be com­pet­ing for the first time at this lev­el. She will face com­pe­ti­tion from three US gym­nasts and five oth­er lo­cal gym­nasts. Once again, cor­po­rate spon­sors Elle & Vire, Dayn­co Lim­it­ed, De Fre­itas Con­sult­ing Ltd, Toy­ota Trinidad Ltd and oth­er friends and fam­i­lies of Tots & Tum­blers have giv­en gen­er­ous­ly, and made it pos­si­ble to host the event.
