Kelly-Anne Billingy and her Valencianas de Juncos clubmates in straight sets in the Puerto Rico Volleyball Federation 42nd Women's Super League on Sunday night. Airial Salvo was the other player to reach double-digits with 17 points in the 25-10, 25-23, 25-17 over Juncos.
Billingy, the first women's professional volleyballer from T&T led the 2004 champions, Juncos, with 12 points while Erica Lott added nine, Kelly Wing got eight and Rayma Robles, five. With the win, Catano stayed second on the table with its 13th win from 17 matches, three wins behind Toa Baja, which got past Corozal 25-23, 25-15, 26-28, 25-14 to improve its record to 17-1.
Third on the ten-team table is Mayaguez (11-6), despite a 20-25, 23-25, 17-25 loss to Ponce which has a similar record of 8-9 to Juncos. The rest of the table comprises, Carolina and Corozal, both with 7-10 records, followed by Caguas (6-12), Bayamon (5-11) and Guaynabo (4-14). Juncos will hope to get back to winning ways tonight against Corozal.
