For­mer na­tion­al se­nior coach Grace Parkin­son-Grif­fith has re­turned as pres­i­dent of the San Fer­nan­do Net­ball League.

She was re-elect­ed un­op­posed for her sec­ond term at the league's an­nu­al gen­er­al meet­ing (AGM) held at the South­ern Re­gion­al In­door Sports Are­na in Pleas­antville on Sat­ur­day. Kani­ka Paul-Payne, who last sea­son served as as­sis­tant sec­re­tary, will now fill the po­si­tion of first vice-pres­i­dent.

Ar­lene Wright-Git­tens re­mains as sec­ond vice-pres­i­dent while Nao­mi Reg­is Gilkes re­places Rhon­da But­ler-John as sec­re­tary. As­sist­ing Reg­is Gilkes will be Krys­tal Fran­cois. Ber­nice Sharpe takes over as trea­sur­er, while Si­mone Lewis will op­er­ate as the pub­lic re­la­tions of­fi­cer (PRO). The com­mit­tee mem­bers are Joanne Payne, Kim Jones and Krista Win­ches­ter.Ac­tion in the league con­tin­ues on Sat­ur­day at Skin­ner's Park, with Jil­lisa Al­lan net­ting 39 goals off 50 tries to lead the Uni­ver­si­ty of T&T (UTT) to a 51-21 vic­to­ry over TSTT.

In the oth­er match, Les En­fants with ac­cu­rate shoot­ing from Cindy Mer­rick de­feat­ed La Ro­maine Al­liance, 35-20. Mer­rick shot 94 per cent, miss­ing one at­tempt in her team-high 16 goals. Al­liance had more at­tempts than its op­po­nent 61 com­pared to 54 but it was wast­ed. Kathy-Ann Hamil­ton was the main cul­prit, net­ting 19 from 44.
