COP on Ari­ma win:

We killed PNM till I dead myth

The Con­gress of the Peo­ple (COP) has won the Ari­ma Bor­ough Cor­po­ra­tion. Spir­its ran high last night at the COP head­quar­ters, East­ern Main Road, El Do­ra­do, af­ter the re­sults rolled in from the var­i­ous cor­po­ra­tions. The COP cap­tured six out of sev­en seats in the Ari­ma Bor­ough Cor­po­ra­tion.

Speak­ing af­ter the vic­to­ry was de­clared, re­gion cam­paign man­ag­er for the Ari­ma Bor­ough, Wendy Lee Yuen, said: "We killed the 'PNM till I dead' myth in Ari­ma. Ari­ma is the coun­try's po­lit­i­cal barom­e­ter and they have start­ed change." Al­so speak­ing was COP po­lit­i­cal leader Win­ston Dook­er­an who re­mind­ed can­di­dates their work had just be­gun.

He said in the elec­tion "peo­ple came out with a vengeance"" to trans­form own­er­ship of democ­ra­cy. Dook­er­an said the vic­to­ry was a vic­to­ry to get all politi­cians to work for their peo­ple.

The COP Ari­ma can­di­dates who won their seats were:

Clin­ton Jen­nings–Ari­ma Cen­tral;

Flo­ra Singh–Ari­ma West/O'Meara;

Hugo Am­brose Lewis–Tumpuna;

Pa­tri­cia Metivi­er–Ari­ma North East;

Vedya Ma­habir–Mal­abar North and

Wayne Bertrand–Cal­vary.
