Six dif­fer­ent play­ers were on tar­get as W Con­nec­tion pound­ed Di­recTV North East Stars 6-0, at Gilbert Park, Cou­va on Thurs­day, to re­tain the e Oa­sis Youth Pro League Un­der-18 Di­vi­sion ti­tle. Go­ing in­to the match, W Con­nec­tion need­ed on­ly a draw but was giv­en a per­fect start by Stars' Nicholas Dun­can who con­ced­ed an own goal in the sixth minute. Na­tion­al youth team play­er, Ryan Fred­er­ick made it 2-0 in the 27th minute and Jose De Sil­va added a third eight min­utes lat­er for a 3-0 lead at the in­ter­val. On the re­sump­tion, Don­nel­ly Gopicha­ran (68th), Mal­colm Nedd (79th) and Kel­lon Alexan­der, six min­utes from the end were al­so on tar­get to com­plete the drub­bing and spark of wild cel­e­bra­tions.

With the win, W Con­nec­tion end­ed its 20-match sched­ule with 50 points, six more than bmo­bile Joe Pub­lic which has a match left to play. In the un­der-16 ti­tle race, W Con­nec­tion stayed on course for a suc­cess­ful ti­tle de­fence af­ter whip­ping Stars 5-2 led by a dou­ble from An­del Williams in the 11th and 15th minute.The ta­ble lead­ers have 42 points from 18 match­es, four ahead of Joe Pub­lic which de­feat­ed De­fence Force 3-0. Dar­i­on De Matas opened the scor­ing for Joe Pub­lic in the 19th minute be­fore Shack­iel Bertrand got goals in the 34th and 54th min­utes to seal the three points. Jabloteh has al­ready won the ten-team un­der-14 age-group.
