An­ge­lo Mar­celle

If you thought that Mar­lon Ash­er was big in the lo­cal reg­gae in­dus­try then you were wrong; he is gi­gan­tic. He has proven this time and time again that he is a notch above the rest and fur­ther in­grained his mark last month at Co­co Lounge, Ari­api­ta Av­enue, Wood­brook. Backed by his fair­ly new The Is­raelites band, the singer took all on a his­tor­i­cal jour­ney; rais­ing a few eye­brows when he quipped, "I re­mem­ber singing in the church choir as a youth."

As a pre­am­ble, Ash­er re­flect­ed on his roots and thanked all who be­lieved in him, giv­ing cred­it to his fa­ther for be­ing most in­spi­ra­tional in his ear­ly years. Among the songs Ash­er ren­dered were, Big Bad and Tan So, Rude Boy Hus­tle, Hang On, Last Call­ing, Fit & Strong, The Right Stuff, Keep Danc­ing, Last Call­ing, and his break­out sin­gle Gan­ga Farmer.
