If you thought that Marlon Asher was big in the local reggae industry then you were wrong; he is gigantic. He has proven this time and time again that he is a notch above the rest and further ingrained his mark last month at Coco Lounge, Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook. Backed by his fairly new The Israelites band, the singer took all on a historical journey; raising a few eyebrows when he quipped, "I remember singing in the church choir as a youth."
As a preamble, Asher reflected on his roots and thanked all who believed in him, giving credit to his father for being most inspirational in his early years. Among the songs Asher rendered were, Big Bad and Tan So, Rude Boy Hustle, Hang On, Last Calling, Fit & Strong, The Right Stuff, Keep Dancing, Last Calling, and his breakout single Ganga Farmer.
