WASA remains on top the standings of the bmobile National Super League, with a 2-0 win over Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) in (Match Day Nine) at its home ground in St Joseph, yesterday. The "Water Boys" entered this round with a three-point lead over fellow utility company T&TEC, and with the win they were able to keep the lead, despite the "Electricity Boys" win against bmobile Joe Public. Stevon Stoute sent WASA in front with a strike in the 20th minute, and the scoreline remained unchanged until ten minutes from regulation time.
Kevon Cornwall then added the finishing touches when he found the net in the 80th minute to give his team its sixth win in eight matches. At the Marvin Lee Stadium, T&TEC disconnected the defending champion Joe Public lights with a 1-0 win to remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Sylvester Teesdale gave the "Electricity Boys" the eventual game winner in the 79th minute, after a goalless first half.
