Kingston–Tino Best led Barbados' demolition of Guyana by 151 runs on a lively pitch at Sabina Park in Round Four of the WICB Regional 50-Over Tournament. Responding to Barbados 251, a meek Guyana crumbled for 100 in the face of Best's pace. The stocky pacer took 5 for 24 from five overs as Guyana could only last 21.5 overs all told. They were reduced to 6 for 4 as Best ripped through the top order, dismissing Richard Ramdeen, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Narsingh Deonarine for ducks and Assad Fudadin for 1. Ryan Hinds and Sulieman Benn continued to demolition job with 3 for 34 and 2 for 19 respectively as Guyana collapsed in a heap to the spin pace combination.
Guyana squandered the wonderful leg spin bowling performance of Devendra Bishoo who took 6 for 36 when Barbados batted. Bishoo extracted tremendous bounce from the pitch as he toyed with most of the Bajan batsmen. Jonathan Carter topscored with 60 from 63 balls with two fours and four sixes. Dale Richards made 56 at the top of the order with seven fours in the 59 ball innings. Hinds contributed 39 and Kirk Edwards added 33 as Barbados were bowled out in 49.3 overs. Barbados now top the points table in Group B with 9 points after they picked up four points for the win against Guyana and a bonus point for the emphatic victory.
