It was a bittersweet occasion–the Pretty in Pink event was the final graduation to be held by the House of Jacqui.
The graduation served to facilitate young models who completed the total person course for the period 2002 to 2010. Jacqui Koon How, the mastermind behind the agency, drew the curtains on the agency on October 17 at the Viey La Cou Lounge in La Romaine.
Koon How presented certified awards to 300 graduates for merit of achievement over the years. The national humming bird silver medalist, however, hinted at her own personal plans outside the agency and her burning desire to make them happen. Koon How said, "It would no longer be called an agency, but just the House of Jacqui."
In the past Koon How's agency moulded winners and representatives from this country in fashion shows like Miss World 1986 Giselle La Ronde-West, Valene Maharaj, Fay Alibocus, Ashana Arthur, Margot Bourgeois, Jenna Marie Andre, Denise Richards, Trudy Young, Beverly Toney and Knycky Cordner.
Others who have been making strides to excellence are Ria Nelson, Nekisha Bynoe, Lindewi Wilson, Patricia Pierre, Cherrese De Abreau, Ayana Lynch, Kimery Jordan, Nikeisha Ramlal and Sherva George. Cultural and fashion personalities Wendy Kalicharan, Heather Jones and Ashvin Bally were also at the milestone celebrations.
