There seems to be no stopping actress/entertainer /media personality, Nikki Crosby. She is the first female stand-up comedian in the Caribbean and has since represented T&T the world over, performing in such places as the popular Apollo and the Montreal Comedy festival. A multiple Cacique winner for her work in theatre, she is also a radio talk show host on 107.7fm and the brainchild of Nikkiland, an annual children's all-inclusive fun day.
Q: What do you think of when you hear the word Christmas?
A: When I hear the word Christmas I think of pastelles, ham, black cake, punch de creme, sorrel,...oooh gooood! Ah sounding little greedy.
How early do you start your Christmas preparations?
Well Christmas is usually a very busy time for me so I like to put away the house first week in December, but this year I am a little late.
Do you have a family Christmas tradition?
My family tradition is trying to catch up and spend time with the family. This time of year you always "bounce up" family you haven't seen in a while.
Have your views on Christmas changed from when you were a child?
No. When it comes to Christmas, I have never grown up. I still get excited on Christmas Eve to see what Santa has left me under the tree. By the way Santa I was a very good girl this year (well most of the time).
Who does the Christmas cooking in your family?
Thank God for mothers and mothers-in-law and aunts and grandmothers.
What is your "must have" Christmas dish?
Pastelles!!!
What would be your ideal 2010 Christmas present?
A brand new Land Rover (ah taking it in any colour!)
What is your Christmas wish for T&T?
I wish that every boy and girl receive a present on Christmas morning. Let's remember to help those less fortunate than us.�
