A 23-year-old man has been charged with the mur­der of 71-year-old Glo­ria Vir­ginia Quashie of Har­mo­ny Hall, Cin­na­mon Hill, To­ba­go. Christo­pher James, of Har­mo­ny Hall, stood be­fore Mag­is­trate Joan Gill yes­ter­day ac­cused of the crime. James was held on De­cem­ber 4 af­ter the de­com­pos­ing body of the el­der­ly woman and uniden­ti­fied skele­tal re­mains of an­oth­er fe­male were found in a lot. Quashie went miss­ing on No­vem­ber 29, 2010 and her de­com­pos­ing body was found on De­cem­ber 4, a short dis­tance away from her home. An au­top­sy per­formed on her body re­vealed the pen­sion­er was stran­gled. There were al­so chop wounds to her head and body. A post-mortem on the skele­tal re­mains was in­con­clu­sive. The To­ba­go Homi­cide Bu­reau is con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions. James is ex­pect­ed to reap­pear in court on De­cem­ber 21.
