Badree praises Cricket Australia

West Indies leg-spinner Samuel Badree has come out in praise of Cricket Australia (CA) for organising what he describes as a 'super' tournament in speaking about the ongoing Big Bash.

Badree who has been contracted to play for the Brisbane Heat is not playing these days due to injury but has had a wonderful time 'Down Under'.

Speaking to Guardian Media Sport from Brisbane he said: "This is a super tournament that keeps growing every year. It is amazing to see the crowds that show up but not surprising as the package delivered to them is quite spectacular." The massive Aussie grounds are near packed on any given day that matches are played in the Big Bash as the crowds have really taken to the format.

Badree continued: "Quite apart from quality cricket, big name players, great weather, school holidays and huge interest in the game here, the families and spectators are treated with off field entertainment that really makes them want to come back."

He was particularly impressed with what he has seen at his home venue in Brisbane: "At the Gabba for instance we have a lazer light show, fireworks and player interactions, dance cam, kiss cam and live twitter feeds being read out and oh...a pool deck as well.

"So CA have really packaged it well for all audiences and the marketing has been incredible. Again, I've really enjoyed my time here competing and playing with some of the best in the world.

"As for my injury, I am still recovering." The leg spinner is key to the success of the Heat but has used his time wisely off the field to develop other aspects of his game.
