Police are investigating a video circulating on social media that shows a group of men shooting guns in the air.
The video, posted on popular Facebook page Trini Bad Behaviour, got more than 160,688 views, 6700 shares and 700 comments from users on social media.
The one minute-long clip shows group of armed, unmasked men exiting a housing building and then each proceeding to discharge a series of gunshots.
The video appears to have been videotaped by a teenager, who pans the camera on himself briefly while filming the men. The administrators of the social media page claim that the video was recorded in Maloney, however, police were yet to confirm this up to late yesterday.
Users on social media criticised the people inside the video for showing their faces including that of the teenager.
The first homicide for 2015 occurred on New Year's Day after midnight when 71-year-old Vernon Carter was at outside his home in Maloney Gardens watching fireworks. Police said he was fatally shot by a stray bullet which came from an illegal gun gangsters were using to fire into the air to ringing in the new year.
Police have not stated if the video is related to Carter's shooting.
Investigations continue.
