Police officers are being asked to detain members of the Unruly ISIS gang if they are spotted.

On Monday more than 20 photographs of members of the gang were sent to various police stations

Police officers said they were told while on duty they are supposed to detain members of the gang.

The photographs carry the names and nicknames of the gang members, including that of a woman.

They were sent out by the Criminal Gangs and Intelligence Unit.

Public information officer of the Police Service, ASP Michael Pierre, said they were distributed to sensitise officers of whom may be involved in nefarious activities.

He said he did not know if the alleged gang members were also wanted on various outstanding warrants.

There are claims that over the past few months several of them have been involved in criminal activities in the Enterprise community.

The police believe the gang members can assist them with investigations into several crime-related offences in the area, including murders.

One of the latest homicides was that of Selwyn "Robocop" Alexis who was shot dead by a member of the gang two Sundays ago.

Alexis' killer was Thomas "Hamza" Sharpe, of Walter Lane, Enterprise. He was also a member of the Unruly ISIS gang. (CC)
