CAL and TTALPA reach agreement

Caribbean Air­lines and the T&T Air­line Pi­lots' As­so­ci­a­tion (TTAL­PA) say they have reached agree­ment on the main terms and con­di­tions of a col­lec­tive agree­ment for the pe­ri­od Sep­tem­ber 1, 2010, to Au­gust 31, 2015.The agree­ment cov­ers sev­er­al key ar­eas aligned to the mu­tu­al in­ter­ests and ben­e­fit of the two sides.

CAL said in a me­dia re­lease: "This in­ter­est based ne­go­ti­a­tion ap­proach tak­en by the teams cre­at­ed a re­spect­ful plat­form from which to iden­ti­fy com­mon ground.CAL CEO0 Michael DiLol­lo thanked the TTAL­PA rep­re­sen­ta­tives and the air­line's ex­ec­u­tive team for the lev­els of lead­er­ship, ma­tu­ri­ty and pro­fes­sion­al­ism shown; which were crit­i­cal to this suc­cess­ful out­come.

"The trans­for­ma­tion of Caribbean Air­lines re­quires con­sis­tent col­lab­o­ra­tion with key stake­hold­ers, to im­prove pro­duc­tiv­i­ty, ef­fi­cien­cy and cost ef­fec­tive­ness. I am al­so heart­ened that CAL and TTAL­PA have al­so reached agree­ment on ma­jor el­e­ments of the next col­lec­tive agree­ment pe­ri­od; 2015 to 2018."
