The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians' Organisation (Tuco) has launched stamps to commemorate 100 years of the first calypso vocal recording in T&T.
The launch was held on Wednesday at the VIP Lounge, Queen's Park Savannah.
Some of the calypsonians featured on the stamps include Roaring Lion, Lord Kitchener, Calypso Rose and Sparrow.
President of Tuco, Lutalo Masimba, better known as Brother Resistance, said it was important to commemorate and preserve the history of the calypso art form.
He said through calypso many stories were told and it was important to continue the expression.
The stamp collection is part of celebrating the industry's recorded history. Masimba said more must be invested into the creative industries.
