Afeisha Noel blazed Fire to a comfortable 44-29 win over UWI in a premiership match on Saturday as action continued in the Courts All Sectors Netball League at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Tacarigua.
Noel scored 31 out of 37 attempts, while Abeni Taylor netted 12/20 for UWI. UWI was still in the game at halftime, trailing 13-19, but a strong third quarter from Fire sealed the win, as it jumped out to a 34-17 lead. Noel and company took their foot of the gas in the fourth quarter, but the damage was already done.
In another premiership encounter, Kalifa McCollin had an almost perfect match to lead Game Changers to a slim 38-32 victory over Police. McCollin scored 22/25, while Joelisa Cooper showed some form for Police, finishing 23 of her 30 attempts.
In the Championship Division, Bermudez defeated Police Y 42-32 and Police X edged Jabloteh 33-27. In the lone alternative division match, La Vaughn O'Neil led Prisons to a 32-21 win over Central Bank.
