St Joseph Convent (SJC), Port-of-Spain, stole the spotlight at the Francis Rivas school girls windball cricket league at the Queen's Park Savannah on March 16, winning the ten-over round robin tournament.
In its first match against Diego Martin North Secondary, SJC posted a challenging 80/4. In reply, Diego Martin could only get to 62/7, giving SJC a comfortable 18-run win.
St Joseph was more convincing in its second match against Holy Name Convent. Bowling first, St Joseph dismissed Holy Name for 24 in five overs. St Joseph then raced to the target in 3.3 overs without the loss of a wicket to lift the title. Diego Martin finished in second position, while Holy Name ended third.
