A story of love under siege during the Second World War is one of the selections set to attract audiences during this year's European Film Festival (EFF).
The Blitz, directed by Ate de Jong, tells the story of Vincent, a Dutch boxer, and Eva, a young German woman betrothed to an older man, who fall in love in the Netherlands as the war begins.
Tragedy threatens to strike when, on the day that the centre of Rotterdam is bombed, the young lovers lose sight of each other.
For the third consecutive year, the EFF is being presented in association with the T&T Film Festival (ttff).
The festival runs until May 27 at MovieTowne Port of Spain and MovieTowne Tobago.
Tickets for all screenings are $30 each, with tickets for children and students (in uniform or with student ID) priced at $20.
