Crime Watch host Ian Alleyne was again busy this week as he highlighted the gruesome truth of the state of crime in the country following the murder of a father and son in Kelly Village, St Helena.Alleyne visited the crime scene where fifty-two-year-old Devanand Gokool and his son Jeremy Gokool, 28, were killed by a gunman who shot them in their heads as they sat enjoying an evening chatting and liming.
The saddened Alleyne investigated the killings of the father and son, who were once members of his father Bishop Dr Dave Alleyne's Flaming Word Ministry Praise City International church. He vowed "heads will roll" for the senseless and heartless killing of good law-abiding citizens.Alleyne aired the footage live and quickly revealed to the nation the findings of his investigation. Saying it was alleged that a senior police officer and a businessman could assist in the investigation, he said the family needed justice.
Alleyne got very emotional as he alerted the nation to the truth and cover up of the crime. He told the nation that the gunman who entered the Gokools' property was outfitted in a police sweater. He added that the businessman and senior policeman who allegedly orchestrated the hit were both seen in Tobago liming and drinking as the dead men's family mourned their loss back home in Trinidad.
Alleyne also visited the Calcutta, Freeport area to continue investigations and question the family and landlord of David Baker, Reuben Richins and Kareem Edwards, who were shot and killed by police from the North East Division Task Force (NEDTF).Alleyne asked why Senior Supt Johnny Abraham was not informed of the situation prior to the NEDTF going to Central and killing the alleged "wanted men".
Police sources have since stated that one of the men, David Baker, was wanted in connection with the murder of Senior Counsel Dana Seetahal.Alleyne asked how was it possible that just days before the killing, two of the men were fingerprinted by police and given clean certificates of good character, which meant they had no criminal records.
Alleyne called for an investigation, as it is alleged that one of the men's girlfriend was messaging him and a "dead man" replied, "Don't ping me I am dead now." Alleyne asked how could a dead man send a text?In another matter, Kurt Farrier claimed a friend of his ex-girlfriend attacked and chopped he and his cousin on August 3, while they were liming at a bar in Brazil Village.Alleyne is now looking for Dion Ali, who can help him in his investigation.
Alleyne was also investigating a case of fraud, after Sherwin Donald, of Springville, Claxton Bay, allegedly sold a Nissan AD wagon, registration PCK 6493, to three different people while loan payments were still being issued on the motor vehicle. As such, the vehicle has been seized by bailiffs. The victims are crying out for justice.
