BASSETERRE–West Indies women will be looking to continue their dominance over New Zealand when the teams meet in the third and final One-day International in Basseterre today.
The West Indies lead the series 2-0, after Deandra Dottin's second successive fifty and a four-wicket haul from offspinner Anisa Mohammed helped them to a 65-run win in the second contest earlier this week.
The ODIs are part of the ICC Women's Championship and West Indies' lead has helped them establish the third position on the points table behind Australia Women and England Women.
West Indies will again be looking to Dottin for inspiration, although their batsmen have been steady, with openers Natasha McLean and Kycia Knight giving them a sound start in their last game with 63. Dottin and Stafanie Taylor (50) also enjoyed a good partnership adding 97- in less than 14 overs.
New Zealand have not had a good start, losing five wickets for 56 in the last match with Shakera Salman, Taylor and Mohammed proving difficult to negotiate.
They will be hoping other players will emulate Sophie Devine's performance. Devine anchored the innings with a steady half-century although her team was dismissed for 181 in the 46th over.
