T&T's brightest young cricketers took pride of place on Saturday when corporate sponsors BGT&T staged an awards function for participants in their highly-successful 2014 national age group competitions organised by the T&T Cricket Board (T&TCB) at the BGT&T Head Office, St Clair Avenue, Port-of-Spain.The talented crop of awardees adjudged Outstanding Cricketers of the Year was headed by Under-19 player Jeremy Solozano and included Isaiah Gomez, batting sensation Kirstan Kallicharan (Under-15) and Bryan Boodram (Under-17).Solozano was also among the honourees for the Most Valuable Player in the Under-19 category which also comprised Camillo Carimbocas, Darion Ramdenny, Kyle Lee, Samuel Roopnarine, Jerron Maniram, Clevon Kalawan and Omarley James.
Attending Saturday's function were Azim Bassarath, president of the T&TCB, Dudnath Ramkessoon, Director of Cricket Operations; Sukesh Maniam, T&TCB treasurer, and Ian Ramlal of the Primary Schools Cricket Association and Executive Member of the T&TCB.Representing BGT&T were Candace Clarke-Salloum, Bernardo Franco and Wendell Constantine, Communications and Brand Manager who has been a loyal supporter of the competitions not only through corporate sponsorship but by his presence and sage advice.
