Nicholas Sookdeosingh scored a brilliant 111 off only 63 balls to lead PowerGen to a 59-run win over Caldrac at Syne Village, yesterday, in the National Cricket League T20 competition.
Sookdeosingh struck 14 fours and 5 sixes in his knock. Jason Mohammed, who is in today's national squad to face Combined Colleges and Campuses (CCC) in their 50-over clash, also contributed 48 off 32 balls to lead Powergen to 213/3. Allen Laurent took 2/33 for Caldrac. Despite Mark Deyal's 54 off 37 balls, Caldrac were bowled out for 154 in 19.2 overs. Adrian Cooper's 5/19 did the damage.
In a match between two powerhouses of local cricket, Queen's Park got the better of Comets by 79 runs. West Indies players Sunil Narine and Dwayne Bravo both had all-round performances. Narine made an unbeaten 28 and grabbed 2/13, while Bravo made 25 and snatched 2/10.
