It's been a decade in the making, but senior tax attorney Eleanor Bridgeman-Volney has realised her dream of erecting a luxury facility nestled in the lush green hills of Paramin, Maraval, aptly called Paradise Villas. The establishment will cater to corporate and social events, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries alike. Corporate retreats can also be part of the experience.
Judging from the social gathering and property showing, guests at the eco-friendly Paradise Villas–which is certainly off the beaten path–left with a pleasant and lasting impression. As they toasted the occasion, someone pointed to the T&T Spirit shuttling commuters from the Port-of-Spain dock to San Fernando. There were those in attendance who learnt that access to the Maracas beach from the Paradise Villas was possible.
If they stayed on the Paramin trail, however, they could reach the secluded Saut Deau beach.Bridgeman-Volney said the realisation of Paradise Villas was another chapter in her life as a successful woman. She remembers interfacing with contractors who thought that being a female client they could mislead her. They failed. While admitting there were times when she wondered if the project would have been realised, she made it clear that was always the exception and not the norm.
Now, her dream has been realised in a place rich in history as it relates to food production and security, and this is one of the elements she's excited about sharing with all who visit Paradise Villas.
