Open let­ter to CoP Stephen Williams:At the Curepe junc­tion of the EMR and the South­ern Main Road, traf­fic head­ed east is not al­lowed to turn south on­to the South­ern Main Road. This is good for free flow­ing and or­der­ly traf­fic con­trol.

At 11.30 am yes­ter­day (May 13), I was trav­el­ling west on the EMR, about to cross the in­ter­sec­tion, when lo and be­hold, and to my as­ton­ish­ment, a po­lice ve­hi­cle PCJ 6575, with no siren to in­di­cate any emer­gency, turned south across my right-of-way. A col­li­sion would sure­ly have oc­curred had I not mashed brakes to per­mit this po­lice il­le­gal­i­ty.

In the event of an in­ves­ti­ga­tion, I am quite sure about the 6575 and less con­fi­dent about the PCJ.
