Open letter to CoP Stephen Williams:At the Curepe junction of the EMR and the Southern Main Road, traffic headed east is not allowed to turn south onto the Southern Main Road. This is good for free flowing and orderly traffic control.
At 11.30 am yesterday (May 13), I was travelling west on the EMR, about to cross the intersection, when lo and behold, and to my astonishment, a police vehicle PCJ 6575, with no siren to indicate any emergency, turned south across my right-of-way. A collision would surely have occurred had I not mashed brakes to permit this police illegality.
In the event of an investigation, I am quite sure about the 6575 and less confident about the PCJ.
