Na­tion­al se­nior play­ers, Nolan Tash and Dar­lene Ramdin were vot­ed as the men's and women's 'Most Valu­able Play­ers" af­ter lead­ing their re­spec­tive clubs, BIG South East Port-of-Spain and Glam­or­gan to the $1,000 ti­tles in the fourth an­nu­al Mark Daly In­vi­ta­tion­al Vol­ley­ball Memo­r­i­al Tour­na­ment at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, Mu­cu­rapo on Sun­day night.

In the men's de­cider, Tash who was al­so named as the 'Best Spik­er" in­spired SE­PoS to a come-from-be­hind 26-28, 25-23, 25-20, 25-20 vic­to­ry over last year's cham­pi­ons, South­ern Unit­ed Vol­ley­ball Acad­e­my.

All the oth­er in­di­vid­ual awards were tak­en by South­ern Unit­ed play­ers led by three for na­tion­al play­er, Joshua Mo­hammed, "Best De­fend­er", "Best Libero" and "Best Pass­er"; Por­tu­gal-based Marc Hon­ore "Best Block­er" and DJ Nel­son "Best Serv­er".

In the women's de­cider, Glam­or­gan led by na­tion­al duo, Fin­land-based Dar­lene Ramdin and libero Rechez Lind­say brushed aside last year's and 2011 win­ner, Tech­nocrats which fea­tured na­tion­al play­er An­drea Kin­sale and US-based Saman­tha Prescott in its line-up 25-21, 25-21, 25-16.

Ramdin was even­tu­al­ly vot­ed as the "Most Valu­able Play­er" as well as the "Best Spik­er" while club mate Lind­say copped three awards, the "Best De­fend­er", "Best Libero" and "Best Pass­er".

Two oth­er T&T na­tion­al women's team mem­bers, An­drea Kin­sale and Renele Forde were named "best Block­er" and "Best Set­ter" re­spec­tive­ly while Camille Dwyer of Tech­nocrats got the "Best Serv­er" ac­co­lade.
