The reign­ing Caribbean U-13 cham­pi­on led T&T to 18 medals at the eighth Caribbean Re­gion­al Ta­ble Ten­nis Fed­er­a­tion Pre-Cadet Cham­pi­onship at the Cliff An­der­son Sports Hall, George­town, Guyana.She steered the U-13 girls team, which al­so in­clud­ed Shanekah John­son, Ray J Thomas and Chelsea Fong, to the team ti­tle and then won gold in the mixed dou­bles with Joshua Maxwell, as well as the girls dou­bles with John­son and the sin­gles crown.De Gannes of St An­drews An­gli­can is al­so the reign­ing U-11 and U-13 So­lo na­tion­al ju­nior sin­gles cham­pi­on.Two oth­er main at­trac­tions will be Aaron Wil­son and Arun Roop­nar­ine.

Wil­son is the reign­ing To­ba­go Open cham­pi­on and al­so won four ti­tles at the So­lo Na­tion­al Ju­nior Cham­pi­onship in Au­gust while Roop­nar­ine won the Na­tion­al Clas­si­fied Cham­pi­onship Men's A-1 Di­vi­sion and three ti­tles at the So­lo Ju­niors.To­day, the schools team com­pe­ti­tion will be con­test­ed while to­mor­row, the Open and U-15 sin­gles will be played.In ad­di­tion the qual­i­fy­ing tour­na­ment for the U-11 and U-13 to the No­vem­ber 9 fi­nals at Scar­bor­ough Sec­ondary School, To­ba­go, will be played.
