The harsh re­al­i­ty is this: The UNC and the ILP are go­ing to have to find a way to mend fences and re­join, or they are go­ing to hand gov­er­nance over to the PNM in 2015.The num­bers do not lie–the com­bined votes of both par­ties de­stroys the PNM in the lo­cal govt elec­tions yet split, they let that par­ty walk away with the prize leav­ing Dr Row­ley to fool him­self and oth­ers that the peo­ple 'chose' the PNM.No amount of cam­paign­ing will make a dif­fer­ence, and like 2007 when the COP and the UNC fought each oth­er and hand­ed con­trol to the PNM, the same ap­plied in the lo­cal govt elec­tions of 2013.

This is the de­ci­sion that has to be made. For my part, my view on both Jack Warn­er and Kei­th Row­ley can nev­er change, so once this is done (and it must be done to re­spect the will of the peo­ple) and af­ter it is done, if I con­test for MP of Diego Mar­tin Cen­tral it would be as an in­de­pen­dent.A com­bined ILP/UNC/COP de­stroys the PNM.A split among those par­ties hands gov­er­nance over to the PNM.All oth­er talk and con­sid­er­a­tion is moot. That is the big pic­ture.
