The harsh reality is this: The UNC and the ILP are going to have to find a way to mend fences and rejoin, or they are going to hand governance over to the PNM in 2015.The numbers do not lie–the combined votes of both parties destroys the PNM in the local govt elections yet split, they let that party walk away with the prize leaving Dr Rowley to fool himself and others that the people 'chose' the PNM.No amount of campaigning will make a difference, and like 2007 when the COP and the UNC fought each other and handed control to the PNM, the same applied in the local govt elections of 2013.
This is the decision that has to be made. For my part, my view on both Jack Warner and Keith Rowley can never change, so once this is done (and it must be done to respect the will of the people) and after it is done, if I contest for MP of Diego Martin Central it would be as an independent.A combined ILP/UNC/COP destroys the PNM.A split among those parties hands governance over to the PNM.All other talk and consideration is moot. That is the big picture.
