Goal City courtesy of yet another item from top-scorer Kayode Legall, secured a 4-2 win over Sidey's FC, to remain in a comfortable position at the top of the Tobago Football Association Premier League standings.
The win, which also featured goals from Makesi Jackson, Akini Ferguson and Anderson Taylor for the winning team, kept Goal City at the top of the standings, five points ahead of Roxborough Lakers, which secured another massive victory.
With three matches remaining, Lakers continued its relentless goal-scoring spree with a 7-2 win over second-from-bottom Georgia FC. Kirn Harris bagged a brace for the Lakers.
Roxborough remains the only team with a chance, albeit very narrowly, of challenging Goal City for the title. This after third-placed Mason Hall United suffered a 1-0 defeat by then second-from-bottom Bethel United, which climbed a place into sixth with the win.
Only two match days remain to be played in the division. The winner of the title will go on to represent the TFA at the Champions of Champions qualifying competition for the National Super League.
There are currently three Tobago clubs in the country's second tier football competition–1976 FC Phoenix, Bethel United and Stokely Vale.
