Two men from the Laven­tille area were shot and killed in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents. In the lat­est in­ci­dent, at around 6:30 am, res­i­dents of Mc Shine Lands heard sev­er­al loud ex­plo­sions and up­on check­ing found 25-year-old Rossy Jef­fers of Mor­vant in a pool of blood.

In an­oth­er case, mem­bers of the In­ter Agency Task Force re­spond­ed to a re­port of a shoot­ing in Laven­tille. Up­on ar­rival they found 21-year-old Ab­dool Mo­hammed seat­ed in a Lancer ve­hi­cle suf­fer­ing from gun­shot wounds. He told po­lice he and two oth­er friends were dri­ving in the area when sev­er­al shots were fired and his friends sub­se­quent­ly aban­doned him. Mo­hammed suc­cumbed to his in­juries short­ly af­ter 6am yes­ter­day this morn­ing, at the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors say the vic­tim was found in a car that was stolen from the Aran­juez dis­trict last month.
