Annellese Rose, Keneel Teasdale, Breana Stampfli, Yoland Lecock and team captain Beaverly Corby are set to leave T&T today and travel to Ft Lauderdale in preparation for the up coming Fed Cup in Guadalajara Mexico. The team will spend three days in Mexico where they will undergo training and practice matches, they will then travel to Mexico three days ahead of the tournament to get climatised to the high altitude. T&T is set to face the likes of Chilean Andrea Koch-Benvenuto and Mexican Laila Abdala. Annualise Rose 31 will be leading T&T with experience of 34 wins and 20 losses in the Fed cup .Team Captain Beverly Corby who has also represented T&T at the Fed Cup winning eight and losing 12 said that the main goal of the team is to do well : "Our main goal girls like Breana is tournament ready ,Yoland plays away as well as Annellese. Annellese is 31 and Yoland is 22 Keneel is 19 and Breana is 16 so we have both youth and experience on our side." St Joseph student Breana Stampfli who recently competed in both Barbados ITF (International Tennis Federation) and the Digicel ITF said she is excited to compete in the up coming tournament "I am looking forward to it although I am a bit tired after competing in two back to back tournaments but I am looking forward to it. Stampfli who won her matches last year but did advance said she believes the team has a better chance "I think we have a much better chance than last year to advance with the team we have."
