Vikash Mo­han (50 no) and Ker­wyn Badal (27 no) shared a hero­ic 51-run un­beat­en last wick­et stand to help the East Zone se­cure the BGTT In­ter­zone Un­der-19 ti­tle dur­ing the fi­nal against Cen­tral at the Na­tion­al Crick­et Cen­tre, yes­ter­day. Re­ply­ing to Cen­tral's 156 all out, East were 128 for nine when Badal joined Mo­han at the wick­et dur­ing the last ses­sion. The pair took East across the line to gain the cru­cial first in­nings ad­van­tage, even­tu­al­ly reach­ing 178 for nine by the close of play. Mo­han had ear­li­er tak­en two for 28 dur­ing Cen­tral's in­nings, back­ing up off­spin­ner An­tho­ny Sim­mons( 5-56). Bowl­ing for Cen­tral, Christo­pher Vin­cent (3-56) and Andy Gob­in (3-49) were the chief wick­et-tak­ers.
