Vikash Mohan (50 no) and Kerwyn Badal (27 no) shared a heroic 51-run unbeaten last wicket stand to help the East Zone secure the BGTT Interzone Under-19 title during the final against Central at the National Cricket Centre, yesterday. Replying to Central's 156 all out, East were 128 for nine when Badal joined Mohan at the wicket during the last session. The pair took East across the line to gain the crucial first innings advantage, eventually reaching 178 for nine by the close of play. Mohan had earlier taken two for 28 during Central's innings, backing up offspinner Anthony Simmons( 5-56). Bowling for Central, Christopher Vincent (3-56) and Andy Gobin (3-49) were the chief wicket-takers.
