Do­minic Hadeed has been re-elect­ed to serve as pres­i­dent of the Trinidad and To­ba­go Man­u­fac­tur­ers' As­so­ci­a­tion (TTMA) for a sec­ond term. He was re-elect­ed at the as­so­ci­a­tion's 56th an­nu­al gen­er­al meet­ing, which took place at the Hy­att Re­gency on May 8.

A news re­lease yes­ter­day from the TTMA quot­ed Hadeed as say­ing that the as­so­ci­a­tion would con­tin­ue to lob­by the Gov­ern­ment to de­vel­op ini­tia­tives to as­sist man­u­fac­tur­ers to sus­tain mar­ket share lo­cal­ly and re­gion­al­ly, to de­vel­op in­no­v­a­tive ca­pac­i­ty and en­sure eco­nom­ic sur­vival.

He al­so said, "Our re­solve to make the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor more dy­nam­ic and more in­no­v­a­tive is un­wa­ver­ing, and it is in­creas­ing­ly im­por­tant that the sec­tor plays a piv­otal role in stim­u­lat­ing eco­nom­ic re­cov­ery, and in achiev­ing bal­anced and sus­tain­able fu­ture eco­nom­ic growth." The TTMA al­so elect­ed a new board of di­rec­tors at the meet­ing.
