The classic tale of Red Riding Hood will come alive at the National Academy of the Performing Arts, (NAPA) on May 29 and 30.
The script was adapted by the Crazy Catholic and the production will feature a cast of 21, including Nicole "Latoya" Farrell, Dren, Prince Priceless, Dese Simon, Cheldon Knights, Sensational Shelly, members of the Crazy Contagious Crew and the Comedy Circus together with the leading actors from DC Shell Theatre and the Love and Laughter academy. Crazy Catholic also returns to the stage in this production.
Teenager Shelci Marie Gabrielle plays Red Riding Hood while Crazy Catholic plays Mayor Rick Hood. Anthony Watson is the woodcutter, Simon is the police officer and Farrell is a reporter. This is the seventh classic tale that the Crazy Catholic has adapted and brought to the theatre stage. The others were Cinderella, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, Robin Hood and Sleeping Beauty. Red Riding Hood is a follow up to Sleeping Beauty and the Trini Prince, which played at Queen's Hall for Easter.
