Two teams, Touch­es and Mash Dem Down both ad­vanced to the 2012 na­tion­al fi­nal of the Guin­ness Street Foot­ball Fi­nal, af­ter both reach­ing the fi­nal of the North West Zone, which was com­pet­ed at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, Mu­cu­rapo, on Sat­ur­day. They ad­vanced to the na­tion­al fi­nal as the zone was open to the most reg­is­tered teams of the tour­na­ment-18 teams. In the end, it was a last minute ef­fort from Coneal Thomas, which sealed the 1–0 zon­al win for Touch­es. He led the scor­ing for the team through­out the day, scor­ing three goals, all of which were match win­ners. Thomas al­so scored the win­ning sud­den-death penal­ty for Touch­es in its semi­fi­nal win over Group D win­ner 2TTR.

Touch­es topped their Group (B), win­ning all three match­es, while Mash Dem Down did the same with four wins in as many match­es. Touch­es and Mash Dem Down joins Merg­er (North East), Foun­da­tion (Cen­tral), Skil­lz That Kil­lz (South), Ju­nior Mafia (East), WHIM (To­ba­go) and Drifterz An­swer Back (To­ba­go). The na­tion­al fi­nal is set to kick off this Sat­ur­day at the Jean Pierre Com­plex, with So­ca War­riors strik­er and skip­per Ken­wyne Jones ex­pect­ed to be present tro­phies to the suc­cess­ful par­tic­i­pants. Jones, the tour­na­ment am­bas­sador will al­so host a penal­ty shootout. En­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vid­ed by reg­gae artistes Mar­lon Ash­er and Prophet Ben­jamin. En­try to the venue is free.
