League cham­pi­ons Re­al Di­men­sion will tack­le Pre­mier Di­vi­sion ri­val Trinci­ty Na­tion­als in the Women's League Foot­ball (Wolf) FA Tro­phy fi­nal, at the Hase­ly Craw­ford Sta­di­um, Mu­cu­rapo, this evening, from 6 pm. Both teams, which share the top of the Pre­mier Di­vi­sion stand­ings, are ex­pect­ed to pro­vide top class foot­ball for the top-prize purse of $5,500. The last time they met, the match end­ed 2-2, with sis­ters Shanelle and Jonelle War­rick each scor­ing for Trinci­ty, while Alana Bur­gin scored a dou­ble for the cham­pi­ons.

Re­al Di­men­sion re­mains with a bet­ter head-to-head record this sea­son, hav­ing scored a con­vinc­ing 5-2 vic­to­ry in the first leg of the league en­counter, in May. Ja­nine Fran­cois, Der­nelle Mas­call, Rhea Bel­grave, Tasha St Louis and Afiyah Matthias were all on tar­get for Di­men­sion, while Shanisa Came­jo and War­rick (Shanelle) scor­ing for Trinci­ty.

Trinci­ty, how­ev­er, was quite im­pres­sive en route to the FA Tro­phy fi­nal, drop­ping First Di­vi­sion East's Ari­ma Gi­ants 6-2 in the last four, with the War­rick sis­ters record­ing a brace each. Re­al Di­men­sion, in con­trast, edged Pre­mier club Mal­ick City 1-0, with a lone goal from for­mer na­tion­al youth play­er Tiana Bateau. League ac­tion will al­so con­tin­ue on Sun­day, the same day as the fi­nal of the First Di­vi­sion Big Eight com­pe­ti­tion. As an­nounced, St Au­gus­tine SC and Step by Step will chal­lenge in the fi­nal at the Man­ny Ramjohn Sta­di­um, Mara­bel­la from 4 pm. The third place match to de­cide the oth­er pro­mot­ed team be­tween St Ann's Rangers and Debe All Stars will kick off at the same venue from 2 pm.
