Amanda Samaroo scored an unbeaten half-century (59) to guide T&T to its second straight victory in the T&T Women's Cricket Association (TTWCA) Jubilee Under-19 series, over the TTWCA Board XI at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Balmain, Couva on Thursday evening. T&T opened the 20-over competition that morning with a seven-wicket win against St Lucia at Caldrac ground in California while at Couva, the ICC Americas defeated the Board XI by six wickets. The Board XI batted first and through the efforts of McKeila John, who scored 25and Shanice Pascall's 23 made only 90 for 7 in its 20 overs.
Bowling out the Board XI were Kerdisha Benito, who claimed 3/12; Alice Collins securing 2/10 with Crystal Hanslal and Collins' sister Allison, getting a wicket each for 4 and 10, respectively. In reply, Samaroo helped T&T to 91, losing only two wickets in 11.5 overs. In the final match of the day, St Lucia bounced back to crush St Vincent by 10 wickets. Yasmine St Ange put on an amazing bowling display, picking up a 5/10 while her teammate claimed 2/3. The St Lucians easily got to 22 without loss in 2.3 overs.
