While chat­ting in the car park of a San Fer­nan­do restau­rant on Fri­day, a pen­sion­er and two of his col­leagues were robbed of more than $12,000 by gun­men. Po­lice be­lieved the two sus­pects who robbed 71-year-old Ray Janey, 42-year-old Ten­ron Harp­er and Telal Ram­char­ran, 58, may have been lurk­ing around the area, wait­ing for their vic­tims.

Around 5.15 pm, the men were stand­ing in the car park of Wing On Chi­nese Restau­rant, at Cipero Road, when they were robbed. Harp­er, a drafts­man of Bel­lview Road, Ari­ma, was robbed of two gold chains val­ued $4,000, his two mo­bile phones val­ued $3,000, and a wal­let val­ued $50, which con­tained $160.

They robbed Janey, a con­sul­tant, of De Gannes Vil­lage, Siparia, of $300, while, Ram­char­ran, al­so a drafts­man, was robbed of a $3,000 gold chain and an ID band val­ued $1,000. The sus­pects ran off. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
