The Leo John Is­land­wide Over-40 crick­et com­pe­ti­tion en­ters its 14th year en­cour­ag­ing the more ma­ture play­ers to con­tin­ue en­joy­ing play­ing the game and keep­ing their arms and legs in fair con­di­tion. This year, com­pe­ti­tion be­gins on Au­gust 18 and clubs wish­ing to take part in the 25-over af­fair are re­quired to reg­is­ter by Ju­ly 31.

Preysal will be de­fend­ing their 2011 cham­pi­onship and ef­forts are be­ing made to have a To­ba­go team com­pete.

Cap­tains or co-or­di­na­tors are ad­vised to con­tact the sec­re­tary or a mem­ber of the ex­ec­u­tive man­age­ment of the com­pe­ti­tion for fur­ther in­for­ma­tion. All rel­e­vant doc­u­men­ta­tion is avail­able at Bert's Sports Cen­tre. There are plans afoot to take a Leo John rep­re­sen­ta­tive team to ei­ther Guyana or Grena­da in an ef­fort to de­vel­op good­will in the re­gion.
