A confident T&T?pair of Shanntol Ince and Carlos Greene left here on Friday to take part in the Paralympic Games which start in London on Wednesday. The confident duo has promised to capitilise on the success of the T&T?team which recently returned from the Olympic Games with four medals, including its second gold medal through 19-year-old Keshorn Walcott. On hand to see the pair off was Minister of Sport, Anil Roberts, who wished the pair well.
The Minister urged Ince and Greene to take heart from the team's performance in London and represent the country to the best of their abilities. Speaking about T&T's chances of medalling, Minister Roberts stated: "I'm sure Shanntol and Carlos have looked on at the tremendous effort of the Olympians; making finals and earning precious metal. They should be buoyed by these impressive performances and leave these shores with extra confidence that T&T can mount the rostrum. We want them both to do their best-medal or not."
