An­n­marie McEwen scored an un­beat­en 66 to lift Spice Girls to an easy 38-run win over Out­siders in a Ladies Di­vi­sion af­fair of the T&T Crick­et As­so­ci­a­tion Day and Night Crick­et Com­pe­ti­tion at the Na­tion­al Hock­ey Cen­tre in Tacarigua last week­end. Bat­ting first on Sat­ur­day, Spice Girls mount­ed a huge 111 for two from ten overs be­fore re­strict­ing Out­sider to 73 for two from its quo­ta of ten overs, with Al­li­son Mauge scor­ing 22. McE­ween was lat­er named the Most Valu­able Play­er of the game. In the Men's Di­vi­sion One cat­e­go­ry on Fri­day, Ma­hen­dra Nauth post­ed a sol­id 24 to guide Jus Friends to a two-wick­ets tri­umph over Storm­ers in ac­tion from Group D. Ac­tion in the com­pe­ti­tion will con­tin­ue next week­end at the same venue.
