In July 2012 the Energy Chamber stated that the subsidies on fuel were as follows: Diesel-2.71 per litre, super-1.83 per litre, ppremium-0.73 per litre. According to the math, if subsidy is removed from premium then the price should be 4.73 per litre. How is it then that the price has risen to 5.75 per litre? The public should also remember that the road improvement tax is still included in the price of fuel. If the subsidy is removed then the road improvement tax should be removed.
For a Government which boasts of having so many qualified persons it leaves me to wonder what is really happenning. I believe the public is being taken for a ride.
