De­fend­ing cham­pi­on Caribs, end­ed its run in the T&T Rug­by Foot­ball Union (T&TR­FU) Toy­ota Cham­pi­onship di­vi­sion Sun­day, on a high, fol­low­ing an easy 74-14 win over Po­lice, which put the "Beer Boys" on top of the stand­ings, with a three-point ad­van­tage over sec­ond-placed Har­vard.

Fate is now out of the hands of Caribs which com­plet­ed its ros­ter, while Har­vard re­mains with one match to play. Af­ter win­ning the TTR­FU Mar­cus Min­shall Knock­out Cup for the first time on Sat­ur­day, Har­vard now has a chance to seal an­oth­er first in its his­to­ry, when it takes on Roy­alians in the Toy­ota Cham­pi­onship. Any­thing less than a win will see Caribs take the league tro­phy yet again.

Har­vard has al­ready se­cured vic­to­ry on two oc­ca­sions against Roy­alians this sea­son, once in the league and the oth­er in the Mar­cus Min­shall semi­fi­nal.
