Curepe Round­about's T&T Ju­bilee Edi­tion: 2012 Oc­to­ber has just been pub­lished. The 48-page is­sue, de­signed by artist Adele Todd, fea­tures on its front and back cov­ers 50 na­tion-builders from the area.

These in­clude T&T'S sec­ond prime min­is­ter George Cham­bers, the writer, his­to­ri­an and in­tel­lec­tu­al CLR James, artist and de­sign­er Carlisle Chang and Dr Stephen Ben­nett, vet­eri­nar­i­an and breed­er of buf­fa­lyp­so.

Or­gan­i­sa­tions which made the year-old com­mu­ni­ty pa­per's cov­er in­clude the area's six steel­bands-Ex­o­dus, Sforza­ta, Scherzan­do, Pan­beri, Tu­na­puna All Stars and Moods-the Ma­ha Sab­ha, the Mus­lim League of T&T, St Joseph's Con­vent, St Joseph, SAGHS, Hillview and St Au­gus­tine Se­nior Com­pre­hen­sive.

Pi­anist Win­nifred Atwell and prin­ci­pal No­rah Austin were the women who made the CR-50. Cy­clist Roger Gib­bon and foot­baller Alvin Corneal are the sports­men se­lect­ed, while John Arnold, mu­si­cal di­rec­tor of the Sig­nal Hill Choir, orig­i­nal­ly from Pe­tit Bourg, is al­so in­clud­ed.

Bermudez's Crix bis­cuit, Carib Beer, d' Orig­i­nal Sauce Dou­bles and Ram­saran's Dairy Prod­ucts al­so made the spe­cial ju­bilee is­sue cov­er sto­ry. The pub­li­ca­tion al­so fea­tures a CR-To­ba­go seg­ment, with a list­ing of 50 amaz­ing peo­ple, places and things con­tributed by Ed­ward Her­nan­dez, cu­ra­tor of the To­ba­go Mu­se­um. Claire Broad­bridge, for­mer cu­ra­tor of the Na­tion­al Mu­se­um, writes about the Scar­bor­ough Arche­o­log­i­cal Project.
